Takayasu¡¯s arteritis (TA) is an inflammatory and stenotic disease involving the aorta and its main branches, which is more prevalent woman of childbearing age. Because a substantial number of patients have deterioration of hypertension which results in cardiac decompensation and cerebral haemorrhage during pregnancy, labor and delivery, blood pressure control and cerebral monitoring is important. We report a case of TA with renovascular hypertension and carotid occlusion which underwent a successful cesarean under epidural anesthesia with 0.5% ropivacaine.
